Our Why

calm intentional living

Being a mom, wife, physically active person, contributing community member, employee/business owner, etc. is a big ask on your body and mind. It might seem like you should just be able to do it all, but in reality the most happy and productive people DON’T do it all on their own. They bring in help. It’s not a sign of weakness, it’s smart. The people who love you want to see you living well and spend time with you, not watch you flounder and barely survive each day. That’s where SUNDIAL comes in! Let Anjelica and her team serve youPsstWe can also be discrete about the services we provide you. No pasa nada!

We work with busy families and professionals who want to feel more capable, relaxed, and on top of things. Through individualized care, in-person guidance, and refined lifestyle support, SUNDIAL provides an ecosystem of services that evolve with each season of young family life. SUNDIAL’s services help families find their rhythm — offering strategies and real-world insight into designing a life that flows with calm, clarity, and grace.  While the details of motherhood may differ across cultures and time zones, the essence remains the same: We all flourish when we are supported.

About Anjelica Malone

Here’s the short and sweet about me. If you prefer to read the long version, see the section below this one.

I’m Anjelica Malone, a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and Clinical Herbalist. For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of supporting women and families through some of the most transformative moments of their lives — from birth to new motherhood and beyond.

I earned my Master of Science in Midwifery from Bastyr University in Washington state, specializing in Botanical Medicine for Midwifery Care. My work has included clinical midwifery, higher education– teaching obstetric emergency skills and nutrition, care of breastfeeding dyads, and virtual service with The Peace Corp.

In addition to my passion for serving families, I adore good food, travel, and spending time in nature! My husband is a Retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran and we have two athletic and creative girls. Combining my passion for holistic healthy living, elevated experiences, and family unity is at the heart of all Sundial services.

The Long Version

My journey began as a Third Culture Kid, growing up between the U.S. and abroad.

My early career began in healthcare as a  Health Services Technician and EMT in the U.S. Coast Guard, where I learned the value of precision, service, and compassion under pressure. Later, while volunteering with The Priscilla Project in Buffalo, New York — mentoring refugee and socially isolated women through high risk pregnancies or first births in the U.S. — I saw firsthand how deeply women thrive when they have someone they can trust and lean on. That experience shaped everything I did from that point on.

I’ve supported families in the continental  U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, and around the world. Across cultures and time zones, I’ve witnessed that while the details of motherhood may differ between families, the essence remains the same: We all flourish when we are supported.

Women thrive with support.
When we are cared for, seen, and held — we bloom.

That belief is what inspired me to create Sundial, a suite of concierge family services designed to help women and families navigate life’s many seasons with rhythm, grace, and confidence.

Having lived in places like Italy, Japan, and Guam, I’ve experienced firsthand the diverse ways families live, mother, and build community. Those cross-cultural experiences — along with years of travel to destinations like Bali, Germany, France, and Spain with my own young children — have shaped both my personal philosophy and my professional approach. Through these experiences, I’ve learned the art of traveling and thriving with little ones in tow, and now I help families plan and coordinate travel with confidence, intention, and ease.

At home in Puerto Rico, I’m a mother of two daughters whom my husband and I have raised with an emphasis on cultural awareness, bilingualism, and intentional living. Our family’s rhythm reflects my belief that motherhood — and life itself — are most fulfilling when approached with flexibility, gratitude, and grace. These values also guide how I show up for women and families today.

Through SUNDIAL, I weave together my years of clinical expertise, cultural insight, and holistic philosophy to cultivate experiences where women feel grounded, cared for, and supported — not just in moments of transition, but throughout their entire parenting journey.

No matter where you are in your season of life, I’m here to help you find your rhythm, reconnect with yourself, and flourish.

Our Family’s Journey…

a timeline rooted in purpose

This isn’t just a business — it’s the story of a life led by faith, shaped by many moves, and deeply committed to helping families thrive wherever they are in the world. From our first years on the island of Puerto Rico to today, every chapter has built the foundation for Sundial. Here’s how it all began..

2007

united by service

Anjelica and her husband met while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and married soon after, in South Carolina. From the beginning, their relationship was built on shared values of service, faith, and a desire to make an impact in the lives of others.

2011

first arrival in pr

Their first move to Puerto Rico was meant to be temporary, but the island’s beauty and the warmth of its people captured their hearts. They quickly found a faith community, helped organize local events, and began forming lifelong relationships that would shape their vision for the future.

2013

joy & hardship

Pregnancy and childbirth brought both joy and challenge. Finding a maternity provider that aligned with their needs was incredibly difficult, and navigating life on La Isla often felt like an uphill climb. Though they eventually left the island, they remained deeply connected to the friends and community they had grown to love.

2021

a return with purpose

Anjelica returned with a renewed sense of mission. As a trained midwife and lactation professional, she hoped to contribute to maternal health efforts on the island— serving on the Midwives Association of Puerto Rico board, but was quickly reminded of the complexity of entrenched systems, siloed efforts, and everyday struggles. She remains committed to the belief that acts of service can still spark change.

2025

building something that lasts

SUNDIAL was born from the belief that parenting, wherever you are in the world, should be more than just “getting by.” It should be joyful, connected, and rich with possibility. Today, we’re investing in this vision, carried for over a decade: to be part of the movement that uplifts families here in Puerto Rico and around the world.
